Gestamp is Hiring a Product Engineer Near Auburn, MI
Serve as a member of product engineering team. Support a cross-functional team to address challenging technological needs of customer engineering and manufacturing requirement. Responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with assigned customer base, as well as generate new customer leads. Support new business development as required.
RequirementsEducation & Experience Needed:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred, or two years community college with 10 years of experience in automotive field
- Three to five years technical experience and excellent communication skills to interface with various levels of the customer team
- Experience with OEM product development cycle and strong technical background in BIW and mechanisms
- Experience in product design/development and selling of engineered solutions is expected
- Hands on exposure and knowledge of the areas of manufacturing, design and engineering and product launch processes
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and profitability
- Computer literacy and basic skill with MS Office software, i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook
- Familiar with current quality management system and documentation, i.e., ISO/TS16949
- CATIA, OEM and Tier 1 Experience preferred
