Role Summary:

The Organizational Development Specialist elevates the potential of the entire organization to learn, grow, and provide an exceptional experience for both internal and external members. This position supports this goal by managing an Organizational Development Program and by providing training, coaching, and consulting for individuals and teams.

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Manages an OD Programming area (New Employe Onboarding. Fierce Conversations) Acts as the subject matter expert in this programming area for the OD team and Gesa. Has discretion in the programming decisions and direction. Coordinates with Fierce vendor and other vendors that may support programs they manage. Consistently assesses and improves their assigned programming area.
  2. Facilitates leadership development, and in partnership with Sr. Learning and Development Program Manager, develops new leadership content.
  3. Provides classroom training and instruction related to OD programming area and interpersonal skill building for all team members. Provides consistent and engaging presentations and ensures learning objectives are achieved.
  4. Provides one on one and group coaching related to organizational development and interpersonal skill building.
  5. Provides feedback and reinforcement of topics to promote learning and retention.
  6. Analyzes data related to individuals (e.g., 360 reviews) and teams (e.g., culture assessment) to provide appropriate developmental support, training, coaching, and/or change management.
  7. Advocates for healthy organizational culture by incorporating values in to learning.
  8. Supports culture initiatives at Gesa to build and sustain a high performing culture.
  9. Works with key business partners (e.g., HR, Team Member Experience, Member Experience, Executive leadership) to support and strengthen team member development at Gesa.
  10. Perform all duties and maintain all sensitive data with the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism. Consistently display respect for all areas of diversity, levels of knowledge, and leadership.
  11. Display mutual respect, trust, and dignity, always acting in the best interest of the credit union. Display solid ethics and integrity.

About You:

  1. Understanding of adult learning and all aspects of instructional design for various formats, including instructor-led, and various types of performance support.
  2. Strong organizational skills and ability to build/set schedules and adhere to projects.
  3. Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word Processing programs.
  4. Knowledge of credit union industry and previous financial industry experience preferred.
  5. Ability to effectively use credit union’s applications,
  6. Excellent listening skills and member service attributes.
  7. Must possess clear and effective oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
  8. This position requires knowledge of adult learning styles, familiarity with leadership and organizational development theory, and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite software.

Qualifications


What You Will Need:

  1. Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in leadership and coaching, presenting to groups and or training required, preferably in a credit union.
  2. Four-year degree in education, leadership, business is required. An applicant with 6-8 years of management experience or 8 to 10 years’ work experience without a 4-year degree will be considered.
  3. The ability to motivate and influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and or externally) is an important part of the job.
  4. Certifications in Fierce and DLDS (Denison Leadership Development Survey)
  5. Must consistently display courtesy, tact, and diplomacy.
  6. Must maintain professional demeanor and appearance.
  7. Fully capable of operating training equipment.
  8. Knowledgeable in credit union terminology and acronyms commonly used in day-to-day communication of staff, policymakers, and others involved in the credit union systems is required.
  9. Independent travel is required to complete duties and attend training as necessary.
  10. A valid Driver’s License is required.

Salary Range:

$74,679.01 - $112,018.51
