The Scheller College of Business at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia seeks applications to fill a Postdoctoral Fellow research position in Operations Management (OM).

The postdoctoral fellow will conduct research at the interface of data analytics, behavioral operations, and social & environmental responsibility in supply chain management. The selected candidate will work closely with the OM faculty and relevant academic and industry collaborators to contribute to projects related to various topics in this domain, including the development of (1) statistical tools to facilitate responsibility-risk monitoring in global supply chains and (2) strategies to improve managerial decision making around sustainability-related trade-offs. Applicants must demonstrate strong capabilities for conducting original research using tools such as econometrics and causal inference, machine learning, game theory, and/or behavioral experiments.

The postdoctoral fellow is expected to begin in August 2024. The initial appointment is for one year and may be renewed depending on mutual consent, satisfactory performance, and the availability of resources. There is flexibility with regard to the starting date to accommodate the selected candidate.

Responsibilities for this position entails working on high-impact research projects, from conceptualization, data collection, and data analysis to manuscript preparation and publication.

A PhD Degree no later than the job start date in operations management, operations research, data science, business analytics, or a closely related field.

Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.
