The GEOTEK Marketing Specialist position supports Sales and Marketing efforts for all GEOTEK products by helping generate and execute product marketing communication. This work further emphasizes the product value we deliver to the Utility and C&I markets. The position reports to and directly supports the Marketing Manager, but in our team environment also has close contact with the Sr. VP of Sales and Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering resources. End customer marketing communication, in various forms, is planned and deployed by the Marketing Specialist. Marketing project management and administrative support is also owned by this position. Essential Functions

• Product Messaging
  • Work with Marketing Manager and Product Managers to develop and execute communication plans for all GEOTEK manufactured products.
  • Enhance and deploy product messaging for our 2 product lines; PUPI crossarms and Alliance Light Poles. This includes maintaining all collateral, not limited to product brochures, customer presentations, websites, and sales aids. Project manage collateral refreshes of Brochures, Websites, PowerPoints, etc.
  • Generate and implement product marketing plans and make promotional budgeting recommendations.
  • Work with internal resources to develop and deploy product messaging for new product lines.
  • Work with Marketing Manager and Product Managers to fill customer value gaps and market opportunity with internal and external communication. Refine approach based on product and market-specifics.
• Messaging Platforms (current and growing)
  • Manage E-communication (NetSuite, MailChimp, and LinkedIn) to end customers and our sales channel partners.
  • Manage 2 Product Websites and 1 Corporate Website (WordPress) with internal, GEOTEK IT department.
• Sales Team Support
  • Work with Regional Sales teams to coordinate Customer Plant Visits, resourcing established product content and providing additional administrative oversight as required.
  • Own product literature and sales aid sourcing, ordering, and inventory. Fulfill shipping requests of materials to our sales channels.
  • Own national tradeshow exhibitor participation, including registration, booth material development, shipping, and logistics. Attend tradeshows as required.
  • Provide management and governance of GEOTEK product Brand Guidelines.
  • Photo and Video production as needed.
  • Misc project management as needed.

Education and Experience

• BS/BA in business administration, marketing and communications or relevant field.
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in product marketing services related function.
• Minimum 1-2 years experience with WordPress, MailChimp, and NetSuite Services preferred.
• Competence in MS Office applications, especially MS PowerPoint.
• Canva and InDesign experience a plus.

Skills

• Demonstrated success in Sales, Marketing, or Engineering. Experience within an industrial or manufacturing company preferred, but not required.
• Ability to build strong cross-functional and cross-departmental relationships internally with the goal of delivering customer value.
• Proactive problem-solving combined with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; including running meetings and capturing follow-up.
• Strong attention to detail and an awareness of future implications relating to current decisions.
• Knowledge of the utility or commercial and industrial industry preferred, but not required.

Physical Work Conditions

A majority of the time will be spent at a desk, using a computer and phone. Position is based in Stewartville, MN. Hybrid WFH option available.

This position requires a small amount of travel (~5%).
