Salary $ 50,000.00 (Commensurate with education and experience)
Under supervision, audits, examines, and analyzes documents and reimbursement records to determine the financial condition or compliance with guidelines for Federal and State Grants of an assigned organization or program. In a learning capacity, prepares financial reports concerning operating procedures.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
·Complies and documents background information, prepares analyses or correspondence, and/or calculates obligations, penalties, or monies owed
·Completes selected portions of audits as part of an audit team, or may complete routine audits
·Conducts auditing of grant related expenditures, documents, policies, etc., and determines scope of investigation required
·Inspects account books and accounting or financial computer systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions
·Prepares and maintains database, evidence, files, and confidential documents
·Prepares or assists in the preparation of reports (i.e. case reports, audits findings, asset utilization, recommended changes in operations or financial activities)
·Researches financial histories, previous payments, balance sheet details or prior audit findings
·Reviews and examines contracts, tax reports, ledgers or other financial or performance-related records to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud or noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations
·Become thoroughly familiar with all materials related to subgrantee grant parameters, policies, etc.
·Conduct in person site visits (assigned areas are located within the state of Georgia)
·May assist (but not required) to assist in Grant Writing process
·Provide technical information, resolutions, and problem resolution for Grant related activities
Entry Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field from an accredited college or university OR Three years of experience in a related area.
