JOBSUMMARY:Undersupervision,provides professionallevelcategorysupportin a varietyof

procurementactivities. Provides assistancein ongoingcategoryandvendorperformance management.

 

 

JOBSPECIFIC DUTIES: Coordinates procurementoperationsfora department/unit.Developsbid

packages, initiates and manages bid processaccordingto establishedprocedures,professionalstandards,and award orders. Managesbid challengesaccordingto procedures established by DOAS and employingagency. Interviews vendors to obtaininformationconcerningproducts, price, delivery, and paymentterms.Establishes and maintains maintenance,lease, service and other contracts.Researches andevaluates new supplies andequipment,and reviews bidproposals fromvendors and awards orders.

Performs generalclerical/secretarialduties to assist in office operations.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

STATE ENTRYQUALIFICATIONS:

·Associate's degree in business administration, publicadministration or a directlyrelatedfieldfroman accredited college oruniversity

·OR Two yearsof experience in apurchasingenvironmentprovidingsupportincollectingbids,completingprocurementdocuments andrelated functions.

·Possessesexperience performing mathematicalcalculations.

·Experience usingcomputer word processing, spreadsheet,and/or database programs in theMicrosoftOfficeSuite.

·Possession andprofessionalapplicationof the GeorgiaCertified PurchasingAssociate(GCPA)certification.

·Experience in a governmentalprocurementsetting.

·Experience usingPeopleSoftFinancialsand/or or equivalentprocurementsoftware.

·Experience with electronicbiddingprocesses.

·Experience usingtheTeamGeorgia Marketplace (TGM)system.
