Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Sterile professional to join our team. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of medical equipment and supplies. Your attention to detail and knowledge of aseptic techniques will be crucial in maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Follow proper procedures for decontamination, assembly, and packaging of instruments
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners
- Inspect instruments for damage or defects and report any issues
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes
- Adhere to infection control guidelines and protocols
- Assist with inventory management of sterile supplies
Skills:
- Certified SPD Technician (preferred)
- 1 year of relevant experience (preferred)
- Proficient in aseptic technique to prevent contamination
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to understand instrument usage and placement
- Familiarity with sterile processing techniques and equipment
- Understanding of medical terminology to accurately communicate with healthcare professionals
- Attention to detail to ensure proper cleaning, assembly, and packaging of instruments
