Georgetown Market is an independent, family owned, Natural Foods Store and Eatery. The Dishwasher and Kitchen Helper shall be a qualified, detail oriented, and organized person capable of contributing to the overall dining experience of our Eatery and Juice Bar customers. POSITION SUMMARY: Working alongside the Eatery and Juice Bar staff, the Dishwasher and Kitchen Helper maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Properly washes, stacks, and stores pots and pans, cookware, utensils (including knives), and storage containers using three sink (manual) method.
• Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized.
• Maintains clean/dry floors throughout the shift.
• Changes water in sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions according to health and safety standards.
• Cleans work areas, refrigerators, appliances, cooking equipment, walls, and floors.
• Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries.
• Maintains garbage cans throughout shift and empties full garbage cans and boxes at the end of each shift.
• Maintains the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves.
• Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the Eatery Manager, as needed.
