Vitense is looking for someone friendly and outgoing to join our team to assist in officiating sand volleyball leagues. This is a part-time position although other job opportunities are available.

Responsibilities of the Official Volleyball Crew will include the following:

• Enforce the rules of the game and make decisions on plays, fouls, and violations occurring on the sand court.
• Gather equipment and prepare the court for play
• Ensure safety standards and inspect the playing area and equipment for the players.
• Clearly signal decisions and communicate with the players to ensure the understanding of calls.
• Monitor players conduct and enforce disciplinary actions, such as issuing warnings, penalties, or ejections, as necessary to maintain fair play and sportsmanship, while considering the informal atmosphere of sand volleyball.
• Treat all teams fair and with respect and embrace the relaxed and competitive spirit of sand volleyball.

Requirements:

• Must have great oral communication skills
• Background knowledge of the sport and the rules
• Shifts available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 5:30-10:00pm- beginning immediately
• Must be 16 years of age or older
