Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team. As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. You will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate through various challenges and improve their overall well-being.
Duties:
- Conduct assessments to determine clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide counseling and therapy services to individuals and groups
- Assist clients in accessing community resources and support services
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, educators, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Conduct crisis intervention when necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of clients
- Advocate for clients' rights and assist them in navigating legal and administrative processes
- Stay up-to-date with coding, Psychopharmacology, HIPAA, ICD-10, and other relevant regulations and guidelines
- Participate in clinical research projects to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field
Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or related field
- Valid state licensure as a Social Worker (or ability to obtain licensure)
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and patient care principles
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to provide individual and group counseling sessions
- Familiarity with clinical research methodologies
