Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Technician to join our team. As an Orthopedic Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing patient care and assisting in orthopedic procedures. Your knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and aseptic techniques will be essential in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.

Duties:
- Assist orthopedic surgeons and physicians in various procedures, including casting, splinting, and wound care
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
- Apply and remove casts and braces as directed by healthcare professionals
- Educate patients on post-operative care instructions and assist with mobility devices
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures regarding infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications:

• 3 years current experience - Required
• MUST be experienced AND comfortable with casting, splints, braces, etc... Cast Technician

• NBCOT or EQUIVALENT NATIONAL Ortho Certification - Strongly Preferred
• MUST be able to apply casts comfortably with proficiency - required
• Proficient specialty experience in working with Orthopedic - absolutely required and needed
• Must be certified if MA
