Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients using radioactive materials and advanced imaging technology. Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including administering radiopharmaceuticals and operating imaging equipment
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions they may have
- Position patients correctly for optimal imaging results
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort
- Capture high-quality images using gamma cameras or PET scanners
- Analyze images to identify abnormalities or areas of concern
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of procedures
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
- Certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N)
- Valid state license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, equipment, and safety protocols
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
