Job Description:
As a Direct Care Worker at Genesis, you will be responsible for providing compassionate care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Your primary duties will include assisting with daily living activities, household tasks, socialization, transportation, and ensuring the health and safety of those you support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide caregiving supports including food preparation, household chores, activities of daily living, socialization, transportation, medication administration, and personal care.
• Follow individualized care plans and crisis plans to ensure care is provided according to standards.
• Foster relationships and create a sense of community and companionship for those supported.
• Document all care provided meticulously and report any concerns or incidents promptly.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid drivers license required
• Experience is helpful but not required; we provide comprehensive training.
• Must be a caring individual with a gentle demeanor and a belief in treating others with dignity and respect.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be coachable and demonstrate a commitment to teamwork.
