Genesis Datacom is Hiring a Low Voltage Technician Near Little Rock, AR

Genesis Datacom is Arkansas' leading commercial system integrator, installing best-in-tech security, datacom, fire and audiovisual solutions with unrivaled expertise and service.

We are looking for motivated technicians with experience in low voltage cabling and systems to join our team! Normal work hours follow daytime construction schedules, however our team services the entire state of Arkansas, so some travel and evening work should be expected. Primary work environments are commercial new construction and renovations.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, terminate & test copper & fiber optic cable
  • Build cable pathways
  • Layout & build data closets
  • Installation of devices such as cameras, access control hardware, wireless access points, etc.
  • Read & follow blueprints/drawings
  • Operation of scissor/boom lifts
  • Effectively collaborate & communicate with fellow technicians & Project Manager on project status
  • Operation of company vehicles, hand/power tools, ladders & other equipment
  • Execute & maintain the Genesis Datacom standard in all installations & duties

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of low voltage cabling/installations experience (or similar field) required
  • System programming experience is a PLUS
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted
  • Must have a valid Arkansas driver's license & clean MVR
  • Must be able to pass Arkansas State Police background check
  • Must be able to pass drug screening, as this position is considered "safety sensitive"

*Note: Pay scale for this position varies with experience.
