Duties andResponsibilities:

TheSAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing Functional Architect will beresponsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of SAPAriba solutions to enhance procurement processes, supplier collaboration, andoverall business efficiency. As a Functional Architect, you will collaborateclosely with clients, business stakeholders, and technical teams to translatebusiness requirements into effective SAP Ariba configurations, ensuringseamless integration and successful project outcomes. Otherduties and responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

• Leadend-to-end implementation of SAP Ariba solutions, including Sourcing,Procurement, Contract Management, Supplier Performance & Risk Management,and Spend Analysis.
• Collaboratewith business stakeholders to understand their procurement processes, painpoints, and strategic goals, translating them into actionable SAP Aribaconfigurations and solutions.
• Design,configure, and customize SAP Ariba modules to meet specific businessrequirements, while adhering to best practices and ensuring efficient processflows.
• Drivesolution workshops and requirement gathering sessions, capturing detailedbusiness requirements and aligning them with SAP Ariba capabilities.
• Provideexpert guidance on SAP Ariba solution design, integration, and optimization,ensuring that the implemented solution aligns with the client's long-termstrategic goals.
• Collaboratewith technical teams to ensure smooth integration between SAP Ariba and otherenterprise systems, such as ERP platforms and third-party applications.
• Developand maintain comprehensive functional documentation, including process flows,configuration documents, and user guides.
• Leadtraining sessions and knowledge transfer activities to empower end-users and projectstakeholders to effectively utilize and maintain the implemented SAP Aribasolutions.
• Stayup-to-date with the latest SAP Ariba features, enhancements, and industrytrends, and provide thought leadership to clients and internal teams.
• Participatein pre-sales activities, including solution demonstrations and requirementanalysis, to support business development efforts.
• Act as the client’s Subject Matter Expert forsupplier enablement, vendor management, content enablement and management,contract administration, e-invoicing, buying channel analysis
• Perform buying channel analysis, supplierconsolidation and segmentation planning
• Lead supplier analysis efforts includingestablishing wave plans and ramp-up plans
• Provide client guidance on supplier communicationplanning
• Provide System Administrative support includingmanaging groups, roles, permissions
• Perform product Configuration and Customizationbased on Business requirements like approval flows, invoice exception rules,use of commodity codes etc.
• Provide subject matter expertise in Source to PayProcesses utilizing SAP Ariba
• Support ARIBA project work stream activities,working with internal and external cross-functional groups
• Evaluate change requests for feasibility, andadherence to global design. Focus on resolution tracking and problem escalation
• Understand data needs and sources and guide thedata integration aspects of the project
• Lead team in translating requirements into designsthat leverage the best practices embedded with in Ariba applications
• Appropriately communicate project status, escalatesissues and manage timelines
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and driveexecution of improvement plan driving operational / strategic benefits
• Works closely with the development team (internaland external) to assure a timely solution is delivered according to thespecifications and implementation needs of the business

Requirements

MinimumQualifications/Experience:

• 10 years of provenexperience in relevant technologies/workstreams designing, implementing, andconfiguring SAP Ariba solutions across various modules.
• Strong understanding ofprocurement and supply chain processes, supplier collaboration, contractmanagement, and spend analysis.
• Expertise in integratingSAP Ariba with other enterprise systems, especially ERP systems.
• Excellent communicationand interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact withtechnical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
• Analytical mindset withstrong problem-solving capabilities, capable of identifying process improvementopportunities and proposing effective solutions.
• SAP Aribacertification(s) highly desirable.
• Ability to leadworkshops, training sessions, and engage in meaningful discussions with diverseaudiences.
• Strong projectmanagement skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in afast-paced environment.
• Collaborative andteam-oriented mindset, capable of working effectively within cross-functionalteams.
• Highly organized andable to manage multiple priorities
• Strong knowledge onAriba on-demand upstream for contracts and sourcing
• Experience integratingwith S/4HANA Procurement and other contract systems
• Experience with masterdata integration (material, vendor and org data) using middleware systems like CPI
• Strong knowledge ofPricing procedures and tax calculations for PO and Invoice Verification
• Experience partnering with external vendors andbusiness partners on projects, including working with geographically dispersedteams
• Exposure to Agile & Product Team Methodologywill be plus
• Public sector experiencepreferred

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree – Required

Required Certifications:

• SAP Ariba Certification Preferred
