Duties andResponsibilities :

Asa Communications Specialist for a public sector organization youwill play a critical role in driving communication efforts relatedto technology transformation and modernization initiatives.

We areseeking a skilled communicator who can develop and executestrategic communication plans to engage stakeholders buildawareness and promote understanding of the organizations technologytransformation efforts.

This position offers an excitingopportunity to be at the forefront of shaping the narrative aroundour journey toward digital innovation and improved service deliveryfor the citizens of Minnesota.

TheCommunications Specialist will be responsible for creating managingand communicating content; messaging; and strengthening thecommunications skills and capacity of other team members.

Otherduties include but may not be limited to :

• Develop engaging and impactfulcontent for a variety of channels including web portals(SharePoint) articles blog posts and socialmedia.
• Collaborate with subject matterexperts to create accurate and compelling technicalcontent.
• Assist in crafting memos andother correspondence asnecessary.
• PowerPoint Creation / Graphics.
• Develop and implement internalcommunication strategies to keep employees informed andengaged.
• Create content for internalnewsletters announcements and companywidecommunications.
• Manage and curate content forsocial media platforms to enhance brand visibility andengagement.
• Monitor social media channels fortrends mentions and relevant industrynews.
• Ensure consistent messaging andbranding across all communicationchannels.
• Contribute to the development andmaintenance of brandguidelines.
• Coordinate communication effortsfor events conferences andwebinars.
• Create promotional materialsannouncements and posteventcontent.
• Provide knowledge transfer to theclient and teammembers.
• Develop and implementcomprehensive communication strategies and plans to supporttechnology transformation and modernization initiatives aligningmessaging with organizational objectives andpriorities.
• Identify key stakeholdersincluding employees leadership government officials partners andcitizens and develop targeted communication materials and channelsto engage and inform them about technology initiatives progress andimpacts.
• Assess stakeholder informationneeds and prepare communication planning materials outlining keymessages methods and communications schedule by stakeholderinterest group
• Create compelling contentincluding articles blog posts newsletters presentations videosinfographics and social media posts to communicate complextechnical concepts in a clear concise and engagingmanner.
• Work with the Executive andmanagement team to conduct strategic and operational projectmanagement and risk mitigation planning in relation to change andcommunicationsneeds.
• Prepare related planningdocuments such as strategic plans and presentations to help advancethe initiatives.
• Work across all workstreamsfocusing on schedule coordination communications change managementand assisting with useradoption
• Support change management andbusiness transitions activities asneeded

Requirements

MinimumQualifications / Experience :

• Provenexperience in a communications role preferably in a corporate ortechnologyenvironment.
• Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills with a keen eye fordetail.
• Stronginterpersonal and relationshipbuildingskills.
• Familiaritywith social media platforms and digital communicationtools.
• Abilityto work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamicenvironment.
• 5 years ofexperience in strategic communication preferably in a public sectoror large enterprise environment with a focus on technologyrelatedinitiatives and changemanagement.
• Strong writingediting and storytelling skills with the ability to distill complextechnical information into clear compelling messages for diverseaudiences.
• Proficiency in avariety of communication channels and tools including MicrosoftOffice Suite content management systems social media platforms andemail marketingsoftware.
• Excellent projectmanagement and organizational skills with the ability to managemultiple priorities deadlines and stakeholderseffectively.
• Strong interpersonaland collaboration skills with the ability to build relationshipsinfluence stakeholders and work effectively in a teamorientedenvironment.
• Experience withchange management principles and practices including stakeholderanalysis communication planning and resistance management is highlydesirable.
• Familiarity withtechnology transformation and modernization concepts such as cloudcomputing digitalization agile methodologies and cybersecurity is aplus.
• Demonstrated abilityto assess and influence senior administration officials andexecutive stakeholder perspectives with a goal for mitigating risksand engaging customer and stakeholder buyin.
• Ability to thinkendtoend and provide insights from variousviewpoints.
• Ability tosuccessfully work with and tailor messaging for senior leadershipaudience.
• Ability to usecommunications and graphics to tell a story to different levels oftheorganization
• Ability toeffectively manage complex messages and create easily understoodcommunication messages andmaterials

MinimumEducation :

Bachelorsdegree in communications marketing public relations or a relatedfield; masters degreepreferred.
