WOUND CARE NURSE (RN) – Full-Time – Generations at Oakton Pavillion, Des Plaines, IL

Generations at Oakton Pavillion in Des Plaines, IL, has an immediate opening for a Full Time Wound Care Nurse. The Hours are 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Candidate must be a Registered Nurse (RN).

Salary of between $82k and $91k, Dependent Upon Experience, Plus Full Benefits

Responsibilities of the Wound Care Nurse (RN):

  • Skin evaluation for pressure sore prevention
  • Medication application to existing wounds
  • Educate patients to care for their own wounds
  • Care for patient's surgical incisions, any pressure sores or any wounds caused from disease or injury

Requirements

of the Wound Care Nurse (RN):

  • Current RN or LPN license from the State of Illinois
  • Wound Care Certification (WCC) Required
  • Wound Care experience is a plus but not required
  • Personable and professional with residents, families, and staff
  • Maintain confidentiality of all residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Must have compassion, understanding and tolerance for older adults
