Responsibilities of the Nurse Supervisor (RN)

• Lead clinical team during shift, providing guidance and instruction as needed
• Assist with scheduling LPNs and RNs
• Interface with staff and other team members
• Assist with admissions
• Ensure that necessary updates, reports and audits are completed in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensure compliance with nursing and government policies and procedures
• Inform patients' family members about medical procedures and doctors’ instructions
• Provide psychological and emotional support to patients and their family and friends

Requirements

of the Nurse Supervisor (RN):

• Registered Nurse (LPN), licensed in the State of Illinois
• Three years’ nursing experience
• Supervisory or charge experience, preferably in a SNF
• Nursing experience in a skilled facility strongly preferred
• Strong documentation and auditing capabilities
• Experience in a long-term care environment
• Leadership and relationship building skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Compassion, tolerance and understanding of older adults
