By becoming a Field Service Technician, you play a vital role in providing exceptional and timely service to our customers. This is your chance to join our team. General Parts Field Service Technicians are self-performing and are primarily responsible for the diagnosis of equipment failures and as necessary the ordering and installation of replacement parts. In addition to this Field Service Technicians may be responsible for the execution of planned maintenance programs and the installation of new equipment.
What will you do?
- Use troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to install, repair and maintain commercial cooking, and/or refrigeration.
- Partner with our customers to provide service solutions for their cooking equipment, including their gas, electric, and steam equipment.
- Consult with the parts department to get parts ordered and install those parts in customer equipment.
- Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call duties.
- A service vehicle, gas card, tablet, cellphone, and company supplied uniforms with company paid laundry services are provided to technicians to ensure they have the necessary tools to be successful
- Sign on Bonus may be offered based on experience
- Major tools provided, with a generous annual tool allowance
- Comprehensive initial and on-going training, including but not limited to Commercial Food Equipment Service Agencies of America (CFESA Certification) with opportunities for advancement, and rewards for obtaining the Certification.
What you need to bring to the team:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Two years of previous or related experience, education or military experience, preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and driving record that aligns with our safety standards
- Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required
- Strong mechanical aptitude including electronics, steam, gas, and refrigeration
- Refrigeration technicians must be EPA certified
- CFESA Certification is a plus.
- Must be highly safety conscious.
- Excellent organizational skills while being motivated, a self-starter, and able to follow through on duties and assignments with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders
- Moderate to heavy lifting and carrying (up to 75 pounds)
- Requires frequent walking, standing, driving, sitting, squatting, kneeling, reaching overhead, bending, twisting, and turning for most of the workday
- Must be able to use hands for fine manipulation of hand tools
