This is an outstanding opportunity to lead the corporate procurement team driving excellence. The Procurement Manager will own all aspects of Hospitality Project Services (HPS) and General Hotels Corporation (GHC) procurement programs for the categories assigned that support our client satisfaction and exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities
  • Develop a strategic sourcing process that includes but is not limited to a rigorous market analysis, supplier risk analysis, and baseline spend analysis, to generate options and document a strategic sourcing plan that may include RFP execution, negotiations with suppliers, contract execution and implementation and monitoring of source recommendations.
  • Monitor and audit periodic pricing on products and services.
  • This position will work closely with various functional hotel stakeholder groups, as a strategic partner who listens to understand business needs; provides expertise in effective strategy development, spend management, analysis, and negotiation; and maintains focus on project timelines and deliverables to ensure business goals and objectives are met. This role requires someone with leadership experience, business savvy, and the ability to influence spending decisions.
  • Define and implement vendor management and compliance programs including SLAs (Service Level Agreements), and pricing for products/services in the assigned categories across the properties, cultivate relationships with vendors.
  • Source, procure, and negotiate products for new hotels and renovation projects while managing budget and maximizing spend via RFPs and contract/pricing negotiations.
  • Staying up to date on various hotel brand standards and able to access and navigate all branded design websites.
  • Ability to understand all blueprint categories, not just architectural.
  • Must understand need vs. want with new builds and renovations.
  • Follow PIP scopes and work with the designer on scope gaps.
  • Hire and work with FF&E installers.
  • Needs to be able to understand the monthly billing process to receive funds to pay FF&E/OS&E invoices, fully responsible for FF&E and OS&E budgets at all times, work through punch lists for both FF&E and OS&E during projects.
  • Work with corporate & hotel operations during new hotel openings.
  • Be a resource to Hotel General Managers and Corporate Team for replacement items once hotel is open.
  • Hire & train procurement team.
Qualifications
  • Four or more years’ experience working in construction, hospitality or related industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in construction, hospitality experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procuring products and services in the construction hospitality industry.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in working with parts/equipment/services providers in construction hospitality or related industries.
  • Excellent project management and analytic skills
  • Must be service and detail oriented, possessing a friendly approachable demeanor and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong process-documentation and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, detail-oriented and able to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Relationship manager, with an aptitude for proactively communicating risk and securing senior-level buy-in within fast-paced work environments with diverse stakeholders/decision-makers.
