Basic Qualifications

Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Electronic Assembler . This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense / intelligence services and systems.
General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
Qualified applicants will perform assembly of complex electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical products while working within a team environment as well as independently as required.
- Rigorous product requirements demand strict attention to detail and an aptitude towards providing quality workmanship.
- Circuit card Assembly
- Development and refinement of manufacturing processes
- Reading of drawings and trouble shooting
- Electronic, Mechanical and Electro-mechanical assembly.
- Installs components and sub-assemblies in accordance with provided work instructions.
- Assembles printed circuit boards following specifications and work instructions.
- Uses electronic, hand powered, and pneumatic tools.
- Keeps accurate records for build information, anomalies, defects and test data.
- Maintains all manufacturing related equipment and facilities. Contributes to the workplace organization initiatives.
Requirements
- Able to read, understand and follow technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions.
- Provides feedback to manufacturing engineers on ways to improve procedural steps and process implementation.
- Exhibits computer skills
- Strong verbal and technical writing skills
- Possesses and maintains a good attendance record and able to work overtime when required (nights and weekends)
- Strong organizational tendencies and practices.
- Physical Requirements (Lifting, Walking, Bending, Stooping, Kneeling, etc.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. frequently and at times, for 8-12 12 hours a day.
- Proficient in cable and wire harness assembly
- Able to read, understand and follow technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions
- Experienced with and able to use hand tools and small power tools
