As a Senior Network Administrator supporting the Operational Technology Division, you will be trusted to work on complex IP network tools and technologies in a production environment and monitor, manage and administer internet protocol (IP) networks. In this role, a typical day will include:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborating with the Operational Technology Division to lead moderately complex network projects or phases of a large project, and coordinate work activities for a small group of technical/professional employees to ensure established network deliverable deadlines and performance standards are met.
Manage a moderately large, complex function
Provide technical guidance and leadership
Define deliverable and work schedules
Act as point of contact for Operational Technology Division technical personnel while leading network requirements analysis activities, and network maintenance and/or upgrade operations
Demonstrate experience leading Network Administrator teams
Designing, building, and maintaining physical and virtual networking devices, to include Cloud and Hybrid Cloud solutions, encryption (experience with Taclanes preferred), Firewall devices and rules, and networking Layer 2 and 3 devices and configurations
Researching, evaluating, testing, recommending, integrating, deploying, and installing network equipment and solutions, including but not limited to Quality of Service (QoS) policies, SMB protocols, storage technologies, RDMA
Providing recommendations for the management, functional capabilities and enhancement of supported networks
Developing, testing, documenting, and implementing network changes for efficient operation, tools, systems, and networks interoperability, and maximized user experience
Automated switches and firewalls deployment
Managing, training, and developing skills of junior network administrators
Troubleshooting and providing technical assistance for networking issues
Reverse engineering networks, and documenting and recommending potential areas of improvement and optimization
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Quality of Service (QoS) policies
SMB protocols
Configure and validate RDMA technology usage
Expertise with Cloud and/or Hybrid Cloud networking integration and sustainment
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Four (4) year college degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Six (6) years of experience monitoring, managing, and administering internet protocol (IP) networks in a production environment or, in lieu of education, ten (10) years of experience
A relevant industry certification, such as COMPTIA Network , Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), etc.
Experience leading teams of personnel with Network Administrator skills

Top Secret Clearance
Must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Access
Quality of Service (QoS) policies
SMB protocols
Configure and validate RDMA technology usage
Expertise with Cloud and/or Hybrid Cloud networking integration and sustainment
