General Dynamics Electric Boat is Hiring a Program Analyst Near Washington, DC

Overview

General Dynamics Electric Boat, the nation's premier designer and builder of nuclear submarines, is seeking a Program Analyst to join our program and engineering services team in Washington, D.C.

Washington, D.C. – Department 488 is a programmatic and engineering services organization that liaisons with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Submarine Directorate Program Managers and engineering engaged in the support of Undersea Warfare enterprise operations. The Program Analyst will work with the Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) and other System Commands located within the Washington Navy Yard to identify resource requirements, resolve emergent Fleet support issues, support the approval of technical instructions, and maintain contract performance metrics. The Program Analyst will be responsible for creating and maintaining computer databases. The Program Analyst will frequently perform data input, analyze requirements, perform quality control on database content, and review inputs for adequacy. The Program Analyst will staff the Quarterly Program Technical and Contract Review (PTCR) meetings, track the status of product deliverables, and participate in Navy Program planning meetings. The Program Analyst will also be required to produce reports in a timely manner as requested by management or the customer. The Program Analyst will be expected to maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) credentials for access into NAVSEA controlled spaces.

Relocation to the Washington, D.C. area is required.

This position requires a minimum of 3 days in office per week.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1-3 years of related work experience with proven task management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage data and create reports from various database systems.
  • Critical thinking skills and a proactive problem solving approach.
  • Internal candidates must be from organizations outside of Operations (Casciano/Gabriel).

Preferred:

  • Active Secret clearance or higher.
  • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint, Jira, or similar software.
  • Experience with coding/macros and/or using Power BI.
  • Experience working with Contracts, Planning, and/or Program Finance.

  • Candidate must be highly motivated and well organized.
  • Candidate must be capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
  • Candidate must possess and be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills in order to effectively interface with internal and external stakeholders.
