Sr Principal Software Engineer- Huntsville
Annual Salary: $80,000 - $180,000

In-Depth Engineering Corporation seeks Principal Software Engineers to support our rapidly growing engineering work for the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapons Systems (GWS) Ground Support Systems (GSS) product team.
The candidate must have a current active DoD Secret Security clearance.
The work is performed at our customer site in Huntsville, AL.
Job Duties:
Support advanced portions of the lifecycle of software development to include requirements definition, integration, and deployment
Develop requirements driven software solutions
Resolve software issues (debugging) and support verification / test analysis
Prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results with limited oversight and direction
Apply "systems thinking" to ensure developed products are scalable, maintainable, and meet end-user needs
Communicate openly and effectively with teammates and customer representatives
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 5-15 years of related experience
Experience developing software in C and Java
Experience with software development for embedded systems
Have the ability to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
Must be a US Citizen and hold a current active DoD Secret Security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and customer personnel
Experience analyzing complex problems and developing solutions based on limited direction and definition
Experience developing using a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating System
Knowledge of various scripting languages and tools: Python, MATLAB, etc.
Familiarity with build tools: Gradle and/or CMake, etc.
UI Framework / JavaFX exposure
Git version control system exposure
Familiarity utilizing the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Fisheye Crucible)
Familiarity with Software Containerization
Experience working on CMMI Level 3 programs.
