GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a iOS Support Technician to join our team. This position is full-time and will support the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM.

Uncleared - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Clearance

Overview :

• Support the iOS Device team in deploying and providing technical support for iPhones and iPads to both onsite and remote employees in a telecommunications, retail setting.
• Utilize excellent customer service skills to work in a fast paced and energetic environment.
• Provide mobile support to users with technical issues involving accounts, cellular devices, or network services.
• Timely resolve problems or escalate to appropriate technical personnel on behalf of the customer.
• Develop documents.
• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and customer service guidelines related to mobile devices.
• Support and maintain effective customer relationships.

Clearance & Citizenship Requirement :

• To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.

Desired Skills :

• Experience utilizing iOS platforms (iPad and iPhone).
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting phones and tablets.
• Experience working at a cellular provider (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, etc.).
• Experience working in IT retail (Apple, Best Buy, etc.).

About the Site :

The NNSA's Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, is a design laboratory responsible for the safety and reliability of the nuclear explosives package in nuclear weapons.

This lab possesses unique capabilities in neutron scattering, enhanced surveillance, radiography, and plutonium science and engineering ( energy.gov ).

GEM’s offered compensation is dependent on candidates’ education, qualifications, and relevant years of experience.

• High School Diploma and 4 years of experience in cellular telecommunication systems, methodologies, devices, and processes.
• Ability to collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers to define expectations and mutual responsibilities.
• Ability to explain technical concepts and options to a non-technical audience and present them with solutions for service delivery.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and customer service.
• Desire and commitment to do all the above with a customer-service mindset.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge in Excel and Word.
• Proficiency with telecommunications mobility devices.
• Strong working knowledge of cellular telephone applications, security, and data use controls.
• Intermediate knowledge of hardware and software integration and testing.
