Position Warehouse/Operations Manager

Accountable to: President & VP

Job summary:

Responsible all areas of the facility by directing and supervising staff in receiving, shipping; sorting, recycling and test areas.

Responsibilities/daily tasks:

· Oversees operation of warehouse

• Manages shipping and receiving.
• Sets daily assignments and goals to each department in warehouse.
• Oversees warehouse department leads, warehouse team and training
• Manages and monitors procedures for safety and housekeeping of the warehouse
• Responsible for managing maintenance of equipment in warehouse
• Prepares lists of finished goods for sales
• Responsible for coordinating truck pickups and deliveries
• Responsible for inbound and outbound paperwork and data entry into razor
• Responsible for inbound and outbound settlements in razor
• Lead, guide, train, and mentor employees
• Maintain personnel management and suggest increase and reduction in work force as needed
• Assist in maintaining customer accounts
• Ensure inventory is within acceptable limits
• Adhere to all legal and ethical requirements
• Make key decisions on operational strategies within warehouse
• Assist with settlements and customer COD and COR
• Maintain schedule and coordinate local pick-ups and provide customer service
• Assist with program management
• Assist with compliance certification
• Continuous improvement
• Open / close facility and get team started for the day

Job Specifications

· Attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position

· Additional hours required for travel and events

· Ability to travel when necessary

· High degree of interpersonal skills to maintain good relationships with differ sets of people both internally and externally

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education/ Training:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis on logistics, supply chain management or business administration (is preferred)

· 3 years' experience in a warehouse lead role managing hourly employees

· Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy

· Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities

· Ability to work with all levels of company staff

· Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback

Qualifications:

• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
• Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
• Strong Leadership skills and ability manage staff
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge in logistics, supply chain management or business administration

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
