Job Title: Contract Specialist
FLSA Status: Exempt Division & Department: iTech- Healthcare
Reports To: Sr. Vice President of Operations, Healthcare
Position Summary
Contract Specialist serves as an initial point of contact for many legal and compliance matters within the business unit focusing on the healthcare industry, providing day-to-day contract preparation, redlining and negotiating activities, counseling and issue identification and escalation to company legal counsel, as appropriate. Drafts, reviews, analyzes and negotiates contracts and provides guidance on contract positions to ensure successful completion or resolution, with escalation to legal counsel as necessary. Agreement types may include, without limitation, client contracts, HIPAA, HITECH and BAA agreements, business partner agreements, consulting services agreements and misc. Able to work independently and assess when to seek guidance of company legal counsel.
