Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our dental office, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental receptionist duties and possess knowledge of dental terminology and administrative support. Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner - Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify insurance coverage and process patient paperwork - Maintain accurate patient records and update medical information as necessary
- Utilize dental software systems such as Open Dental to manage patient appointments and records
- Assist with billing and payment processing
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their needs and concerns
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in dental administration is a plus
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar role preferred
- Proficient in dental terminology and understanding of dental procedures
- Familiarity with electronic dental record systems such as open dental or other similar systems - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
