Job Description:\n\n Job Summary: The Clinical Program Manager directs the clinical activities and daily business operations of Gateway’s school-based mental health services (Georgia Apex Program). Clinically supervises a team of up to ten employees which includes licensed mental health therapists, care managers, and administrative staff. Gateway’s Georgia Apex Program DescriptionSchool-based mental health program that focuses on providing greater access to mental health services for students, early detection of students’ mental health needs and strengthening coordination. Services provided in the school setting includes: individual, family and group counseling; psychiatric services; case management; prevention, educational and early intervention support. Behavioral Health Operations /Management DutiesResponsible for supervision, management and day to day operations of Gateway’s Georgia Apex Program, a school-based mental health program in Chatham, Effingham and McIntosh County.Directs all programs and ensures services are timely, customer-oriented and evidence-based. Establishes program goals, strategies and priorities; strives for outcomes and organization efficiency.Oversees the program planning, budget development, marketing and evaluation activities.Builds and maintains effective working relationships with other agencies, assures coordination of services, and increases public awareness and support.Conducts outreach to increase public awareness and support for children and adolescent mental health.Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision. Supervision/Staffing/Workplace Environment DutiesProvide programmatic guidance to staff.Supervises staff, monitoring and coaching productivity measures.Manages staff and directs administrative activities for school-based mental health program.Conducts staff performance evaluations and ensures all job descriptions and evaluations are competency-based.Provides clinical supervision and guidance to mental health therapists and other staff.Builds and encourages a cooperative team-oriented environment.Interviews, hires, directs, trains, evaluates the performance of, and when necessary, disciplines and discharges employees. Utilizes data and management reports with direct reports to set targets and evaluate quality, effectiveness, efficiency, financial performance and/or compliance.Utilizes national benchmark data, when available to establish organizational performance data. Training and Development DutiesRecommends, creates, evaluates and participates in staff development.Trains, motivates and promotes skills development among staff.Participates in and contributes to Leadership Training. Data-Driven Decision-MakingUtilizes data and management reports with direct reports to set targets and evaluate quality, effectiveness, efficiency, financial performance and/or compliance, including use of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Balance Scorecard.Utilizes national benchmark data, when available to establish organizational performance data. Training and Development Recommends, creates, evaluates and participates in staff developmentTrains, motivates and promotes skills development among behavioral health program staff.Ensures training and supervision is embedded in Gateway’s’s onboarding process for new BH staff.Participates in and contributes to quarterly Leadership Training.
