Gateway Alliance Against Human Trafficking is Hiring a Training Coordinator Near St. Louis, MO

SUMMARY

This is a professional full-time exempt position under the immediate supervision of the Senior Program Specialist. A Training Coordinator provides prevention services in schools and community settings and collaborates with other staff in delivering, planning, evaluating, and promoting anti-human trafficking prevention programming. A Training Coordinator is also responsible for program management.

About the Program

Gateway Alliance against Human Trafficking is seeking an efficient, passionate Training Coordinator to join our team and maximize our impact as an organization. The Training Coordinator will be responsible for developing effective educational programs, delivering training sessions, overseeing activities, and measuring overall success for our anti-human trafficking educational activities. Duties will consist of managing various administrative tasks, tracking the budget, conducting training, and ensuring that the program meets the organizational goals. This position will work 60% of the time in St. Charles County, 30% in St. Louis, and 10% in Lincoln County in the State of Missouri.

Objectives of this role

  • Monitor every step of a project or program for successful completion
  • Track relevant expenses for activities and materials
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and maximize productivity
  • Partner with community members and service providers in the area
  • Create promotional materials to encourage community participation
  • Identify best practices and procedures to inform future programs
  • Purchase necessary supplies for program setup and execution

Responsibilities

  • Provide prevention training for students, teachers, parents and/or community members.
  • Participate in the coordination and implementation of prevention programming.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment, establish and maintain relationships with school contacts, first responders, and other professionals and service providers..
  • Maintain an active workload of 20-30 presentations per week dependent on other assigned responsibilities/projects.
  • Exhibit proficiency in teaching, while also modeling expectations of the organization.
  • Assist in marketing and outreach efforts and facilitate at least 1-2 special events (i.e. health fair, parent presentation, teacher in-service, etc.) monthly.
  • Administer the quarterly Program Committee meetings and complete assignments.
  • Document all aspects of the job in compliance with agency, contractual, and funding requirements.
  • Oversee program budget and manage expenses to ensure costs are maintained within allocated budgets.
  • Generate financial reports and records for all program-related costs.
  • Perform all other related works as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the complexity of human sex and labor trafficking and an understanding of the intersectionality with domestic and sexual violence
  • Demonstrate program and project management experience in coordinating activities and events
  • Demonstrate experience with public speaking and with preparing and delivering effective training, both in person and virtually
  • Within 6-12 months of hire obtain a Missouri Prevention Specialist (MPS) Certification through the Missouri Credentialing Board.
  • Be able to establish and maintain effective working and collaborative relationships with varied levels of stakeholders
  • Having graduated from a four-year college or university with major emphasis on coursework in social work, behavioral sciences, Criminal Justice, Public Health, or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience working in related fields
  • Have at-least two years of experience in training and public speaking; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Have skills in collecting and analyzing data and information, and experience with conducting a needs assessment and/or program evaluation.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the Office 365 suite and Cloud-based technologies, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint/Teams, and Outlook
  • Have knowledge of personnel policies and procedures, and the ability to plan, assign, and supervise the work of subordinate employees, interns, and volunteers
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate firm understanding of procedures that increase efficiency
  • Have knowledge of budgeting processes
  • Have dedication to fostering a collaborative team
  • Be able to assist with the strategy, development, implementation, and completion of all grants, contracts and activities related to
  • Have experience working knowledge of nonprofit section

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The physical requirements of this job includes: sitting, standing, walking and climbing stairs on a regular basis; lifting up to 25lbs, pulling and/or pushing on occasion.
  • This position works primarily in schools with local travel in the community. Must be willing to travel and have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
