Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School English Teacher to join our team. As a High School Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. You will develop and implement lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide guidance and support to help students achieve their academic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum
- Use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Assess student performance through tests, projects, and other assignments
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their academic and social skills
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement educational programs
- Utilize learning technology and research-based strategies to enhance student learning
- Provide academic advising and support to students
- Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, inclusivity, and active participation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification/license
- Experience working with high school students in a classroom setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt teaching style to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Proficiency in using learning technology and educational software
- Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices
- Out of the box, creative thinker
