As a Medical Assistant in this ophthalmology office, you will perform duties of an Opthalmic Assistant and will be encouraged to use our self study material to become Certified in this area.

Applicant should be able or willing to learn to:

• Collect and record ophthalmic history.
• Perform determination of vision.
• Perform testing with Lensometer, glare tester, OCT, HVF and IOL Master.
• Work directly with doctor as a scribe.
• Assist with minor surgeries. Needs knowledge of sterile technique.

Applicant must have:

• A willingness to learn.
• Basic math skills
• Ability to travel to our satellite clinic in Abilene two afternoons a month.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
