GARRETT METAL DETECTORS is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales

Garrett has been a leader in the security screening and hobby metal detecting markets since the 1960s. We continue to find highly profitable opportunities for investment in new products and technologies and are aggressively expanding our capabilities to realize those ambitions.

We are currently seeking a sales representative to secure sales and support our customers. A high premium will be placed on positive collaboration with team and other functions within the business. This is an on-site, in the office sales position. Local candidates only. Minimal travel may be required.

Essential Functions

  • Execute sales strategy, initiate contact with existing / potential customers
  • Identify customer needs and sell appropriate products to meet those needs
  • Work with sales team to prospect perspective customers and increase sales
  • Prepare and present sales information to customers in written formats
  • Secure and place orders, taking into consideration delivery dates and inventory levels for fulfillment
  • Attend and represent the company at trade shows and events in order to secure prospects, as needed
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Ensure operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements
  • Comply with safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of three years’ B2B experience required; previous experience with security products and services a plus

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to collaborate with others in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Working-knowledge of MRP/ERP systems preferred, not required

Work Environment

  • Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office/production setting with adequate ventilation and moderate noise
  • May work in end-user environment both indoor and outdoor for varied periods of time.
  • Limited overnight travel, up to 10% via land or air is required

Physical Demands
Minimal to moderate physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an office/clerical nature to work from a sitting or standing position.

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crouch
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance
