Gardner Standard LLC is Hiring a Program Manager/Project Manager Near Kent, WA

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Program Engineer (PMA) is responsible for managing the PMA program and obtaining FAA/EASA compliant certifications. In this role, the PM will be responsible for scheduling performance, assessing risk and opportunities for the development of modification and replacement articles and resource management. The ideal candidate will have experience with FAA and EASA regulations, aviation systems and complex installations onto commercial aircraft.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Designing modification and replacement articles.

· Develop, coordinate, and implement policies and procedures in support of airworthiness certification.

· Design and produce certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.

· Investigate and resolve technical solutions involving product performance, production equipment or facility systems affecting production.

· Coordinate development and design problems with design engineers.

· Design experiments, build design models and test models, coordinate laboratory tests, conduct field tests, and interpret results.

· Prepare or follow up on preparation of design drawings.

· Prepare estimates of development costs and track actual costs by projects.

· Determine and establish specifications and standards.

· Follow up on building of prototype parts and assemblies.

· Verify documents for accuracy and perform data entry as required.

· Assist Director of Engineering as needed.

· Testing electrical systems using basic circuit knowledge.

· Positively influencing and encouraging people through change.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Previous experience with Aircraft certification programs (FAA, EASA, TCCA, etc.).

· Previous commercial aviation experience.

· Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field or equivalent.

· 2 years of experience in a similar role preferred.

· Project Management experience.

· Familiarity with aircraft engineering drawings/documentation.

· Previous experience with commercial aviation windshields products/services.

· Experience with Agile or similar project planning and development processes.

· Strong scheduling experience using Microsoft Project and office products.

The employee must lift, move, and regularly turn and twist while holding awkward weights of various sizes up to 40 pounds.

Employees must observe and practice safe working conditions and report any condition that does not meet safety standards. Under state law, employees have a duty to immediately report all accidents to their employer. Work areas should be kept clean and well-organized.

Drug-free working environment. Combination of usual office conditions and manufacturing environment. Some elements in the production area may be present which make conditions less desirable than usually found in an office setting. Employees may occasionally experience exposure to elements such as odor, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals. The production area is a chemical working area; food is not allowed. The employee is expected to adhere to all Company policies and to act as a role model in the adherence to policies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
