Engineering Project Manager
Purpose:
Manage the Engineering Department
(Templating, Drafting and CNC Tooling)
To have overall responsibility for all of our custom manufacturing projects. The position will liaise between Sales, Clients and Production to ensure a complete production scope is handed off to Production.

Operations Manager
FLSA:
Salary Exempt. Standard company benefits outlined in Employee Handbook.
Education/Experience Required:
· College or Trade - recommended.
· High School Diploma/GED
· 5 Years of CAD/CAM/CNC
· 5 Years of Management experience
Primary Responsibilities:
· Gather Information from all sources about finished product expectations.
· Train in order to use designing time efficiently.
· Standardize Plans for common items – booths, benches and banquettes.
· Work with CNC Operators and Frame Builders to enhance the quality of construction.
· Establish effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Maintain the professional competence, knowledge and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
· Meeting(s) with Sales to clarify scope of project.
· Meeting(s) with client either physically or electronically to clarify and control expectations and outcomes. This will include site visits to client projects nationwide where deemed necessary.
· Understanding and managing scope creep.
· Deciding when to reinvolve sales/estimating.
· Scheduling Templating – and understanding Template requirements.
· Scheduling Drawings cnc Programming internally and vis sub contract engineers
· Passing all corrected information to Pre-Production
· Overall responsibility for all drawings and construction files from initial concept to final CNC ready files.
· Evaluate our software needs and recommend the best CAD/CAM package for our company.
· Train and develop the engineering team members in use of our software.
· Liaise between clients and production to get final sign offs for production ready drawings
· Have our Engineers report to them
· Be responsible to maintain:
o A minimum level of production ready drawings to ensure our CNC facility does not run out of work
· Being final point of contact for all questions from pre production
· Final Responsibility for accuracy of Production Packets
· Final QC and interim QC responsibility – with assistance from the team. ? (Prep QC paperwork for in house team to check against)
· Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications as may be required and/or assigned as necessary by the Production Manager or management to enhance the role of this position or to provide you with opportunities to grow within the company.
· Operates standard office equipment: fax, copier, scanner, computer.
· Ability to sit, stand &/or walk for long periods of time, if required. Able to bend, kneel, stoop, lift and carry. Able to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted.

· Good computer skills. Proficient in Outlook, Excel and able to be trained in our in house ERP system
· Know when to say NO. When to stop production and clarify
· CAD design skills Required.
