Job Summary
The LPN is responsible for rendering nursing care in assigned area and conformance with recognized nursing techniques, procedures, and established standards based on the scope of practical nursing. Supervises staff as assigned.
Position Responsibilities/Standards
Administer medication accurately, observing resident response, as evidenced by documentation in the medical record and lack of negative outcomes. Perform limited I.V. Therapy procedures on those residents receiving peripherally inserted Intravenous fluids, as delegated and observed by the RN.
Personal Development
Required:
Currently licensed LPN in this State. Must be actively certified, in good standing, as an LPN in Ohio. (If certified in another state, must be seeking reciprocity with Ohio.)
Certified in Basic Life Support.
Preferred:
Minimum of 1 year nursing experience.
Previous experience in long-term care setting
Previous charge and/or supervisory experience.
