About the job:

• Excellent customer service is always your top priority.
• You observe, survey the area and provide reporting on the activity at your assigned location.
• You provide rapid response in critical situations.
• Communicating with law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical personnel.
• You’re good at reading and writing detailed reports.
• Monitoring public access and ensuring the security of all personnel and visitors.
• Foot patrols of client facility (patrolling multiple floors within a class A building) on a regular basis.
• Access control responsibilities including badge checking and issuing.
• Navigating computer programs such as badging systems and data-based programs.
• Investigating suspicious behavior, incidents, and security breaches.
• Adhering to company policies and legal regulations.

Your background:

• You have a high school education or equivalent (GED)
• You’re able to pass an extensive screening process
• Prior Armed Security, Active Military, or Law Enforcement experience is required.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time (ability to climb multiple flights of stairs).
• Ability to work outside in the elements.
• Advance customer service skills.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Advance phone skills.
• CPR/First Aid certifications (will help to obtain).
• Ability to learn new information at a rapid pace.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to provide your own qualified firearm, holster, and magazine holder.
• KCMO Armed Security license or ability to obtain/maintain (GARDAWORLD will help to obtain if needed).
