The Active Systems division adheres to a 9/80 work schedule, with every other Friday off. In a two-week period, employees will work 9 hours per day, Monday through Thursday, the first week Friday is an 8-hour workday, while the second week Friday is off.

The Inventory Control Analyst will serve as the primary contact for all material transactions for production Raw Material, WIP and finished goods in the Marlborough manufacturing operation. Works closely with manufacturing management and purchasing to maximize inventory accuracy (count and location), eliminate production floor shortages and reduce scrap and obsolescence. Organize the warehouse and shelf stocking locations for ease of access and counting using FIFO and other methods.

Engage in the development of specific processes and procedures to perform all inventory goals are met. Report on inventory levels, accuracy and turnover using common reporting tools. Identify and complete special projects to improve inventory performance as needed.

SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

People:

  • Leads 6S Activities in the Warehouse
  • Lead cycle count efforts and reconcile upon receiving approval

Process:

  • Perform all inventory transactions, including part labelling, in the production process ensuring high accuracy
    • At receiving
    • To/from inspection
    • To/from controlled warehouse to production floor
    • To/from MRB Locations
  • Load and prioritize work orders in the production floor
  • Back flush all work orders and prepare product for shipments.
  • Implement incoming inspection as needed
    • Create inspection procedures
    • Perform incoming inspection for all custom material.
    • Retain inspection records.
    • Maintain updated critical dimensions on the drawings for all inspected parts.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving
    • Process hazardous material and international shipments.
    • Packaging and labeling
    • Pack slips and logistics interaction
  • Work with Supply Chain for processing of returns when directed
  • Maintain Material Review Board (MRB) inventory
  • Manage obsolete and scrap material
  • Maintain Material Shortage spreadsheet, and communicate to internal customers
  • Manage Consumables items – identification, inventory, weekly ordering.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Performance:

  • Track daily open work order status and work prioritization with Assembly to support corporate on-time delivery targets
  • Ownership of Cycle Count Program
  • Communicate inventory levels, trends, and savings opportunities that support corporate objectives.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma and 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Working knowledge of inventory types and transactions (Raw, WIP, Finished Goods, Non-Conforming) and the use with a manufacturing ERP system.
  • Familiar with electronics assemblies and material handling processes including Electro Static Discharge (ESD)
  • Experience in Cycle Counting
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Able to create and maintain inspection procedures
  • Familiar with material movement in a production environment from incoming raw materials to shipments of finished goods to the customer. (1 to 3 years)
  • Strong communication skills (verbally and written) required.
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel with simple formulas
  • Willing and able to safely complete all given tasks in order to reach the team/company goals.
  • Individual must be able to maintain professionalism while working in a strong team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and self-management of daily tasks are required.
  • Computer skills: MS Office, Visual Manufacturing (ERP)
