Gallagher's Group is Hiring a Regional Marketing Lead Near Kansas, KS

Together with the rest of the Animal Management Marketing Team, you will be responsible for driving growth and market success in collaboration with the General Manager and Sales team through developing and executing marketing strategies for the Animal Management business in North America, tailored to regional dynamics, demographics, and consumer trends.

As the North America Marketing Manager, your primary purpose is to collaborate closely with the General Manager – North America and the Sales team to develop and execute marketing strategies and key initiatives that strongly align with and support the growth goals of the North American Animal Management business. The successful candidate will be based at our Riverside office and is expected to work on-site.

By focusing on specific regional market dynamics, demographics, and consumer trends, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our products and services in the North American market. You will play a crucial role in identifying market opportunities, crafting compelling campaigns, and collaborating with the sales and marketing operations teams to achieve business objectives.

Marketing Strategy Development

  • Develop comprehensive marketing plans tailored to the specific needs of North American business and its target customer segments and clearly outlines how the marketing strategy aims to achieve the strategic goals, including:
    • consumer, key account & partnership marketing activities.
    • promotions, events, product launches, brand and across print, direct/e-mail, outdoor signage, interactive projects, broadcast, PR, key account mailers, web, social media, mobile & instore channel tactics.
    • leverages market and industry trends for insights and growth opportunity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with overall business goals and brand identity.
  • Build relationships with key marketing and comms people in related Ag parties to develop co-marketing activity.
  • Educate the market and create demand for Gallagher’s software solutions.
  • Provide North American input into the ongoing development phases of new digital innovations.

Campaign Management

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of marketing campaigns, ensuring their seamless integration with sales and advertising initiatives.
  • Optimize campaigns to maximize reach, engagement, and return on investment.
  • For promotions - Manage promotional activity, promotional items as relevant.
  • Oversee the creation and ongoing development of Gallagher AM North American social media presence.
  • Drive & execute any agreed activity with co-promotional partners.
  • Leverage sponsorships for marketing activity (both at corporate and business unit levels)
  • Execute tactical ad hoc TM activity as it arises in line with the marketing objectives/business plan.
  • Fulfill marketing requirements & updates for Private Label and Value brands as and when required.
  • Manage marketing technology platforms:
    • Gallagher North American AM website.
    • Digital Asset Management (Bynder)
    • Content Management System (Sitecore)
    • CRM (SAP)
    • eCommerce (SAP Commerce)
    • Marketing automation (Sitecore)
    • Wrike Project management


Media Relations & External Communications

  • Understand all key media channels and the pros/cons of each & build relationships with media partners.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to create mutually beneficial marketing opportunities.
  • Manage printed & online advertising media planning.
  • Act as the Animal Management team’s spokesperson and manage media inquiries.
  • Develop and distribute press releases and manage media events.
  • Monitor media coverage and respond to media inquiries or issues promptly.
  • Becomes the point of contact for associated parties in terms of marketing material creation (e.g., Cattle, Beef and Breed Associations)
  • Manage the e-newsletter in its entirety - copywriting, sourcing of local stories, uploading content to the marketing email system, extracting accurate distribution data from CRM system & coordinating approvals.
  • Manage and oversee the develop the marcomms material as it relates with national and regional field marketing/events (e.g.: Fieldays).

Brand Management

  • Maintain the organization's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communication channels.
  • Implement brand guidelines and standards.
  • Ensure correct Gallagher product/brand representation by other related North American companies

Budget Supervision

  • Manage marketing budgets for regional campaigns, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective strategies.
  • Manage all aspects of invoice processing and tracking.
  • Regularly track expenses and adjust plans as needed to stay within budgetary constraints.

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Together with the Global Marketing team brainstorm and agree core concepts, brief all assets & coordinate creation, proofs, feedback & approvals.
  • Develop marketing processes and tools that keep the senior sales team, customer service teams, wider Territory Management sales team and the key account teams informed at the appropriate time to create demand to:
    • enable optimum sell in.
    • enable maximum sell out.
    • maximize product knowledge, understanding & excitement.
    • maximize effectiveness of launch campaigns & materials.
    • maximize effectiveness of promotional campaigns.
  • Spend time in-market to build relationships with the Territory Managers (TMs), leveraging their knowledge and experience in marketing activity ideas and messaging (includes Fieldays/Shows and working with TMs in the field).
  • Manage all marketing materials for TM’s and ad hoc dealer requests.
  • Work with Chief Marketing Officer to extract insights, knowledge and key information that drives efficiency and value across North American AM marketing.
  • Collaborate with Product Solution marketing teams through a scheduled meeting cadence.

Key Account Management Support

  • Work with the KAMs to build relationships with the key account marketing teams to develop more effective marketing execution
  • In consultation with the KAMs support the execution of the agreed marketing activity – providing timely, high quality, approved assets
  • Manage and ensure distribution of all new product comms to stores, TMs and KAMs including POS packages.

Marketing Performance and Analysis

  • Monitor brand performance, track market trends, and conduct regular brand audits to identify areas of improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Analyze consumer insights, feedback, and market research data to make data-driven decisions and refine communication strategies.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in communication management and design and apply relevant insights to enhance Animal Management's communication and content strategies.
  • Look to other markets as well as the Agri sector and direct competition for ideas and inspiration.
  • Track & review spend & results for major promotions and events.
  • Track & review results of digital activities and key initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

  • Apply continuous improvement methodology to enhance design and brand management processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for business efficiency and growth.
  • Develop a framework that encourages regular review and analysis of marketing activities to identify areas for enhancement and ensure continuous growth and innovation.
  • Streamline workflows, eliminate unnecessary steps, and automate repetitive tasks wherever possible.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of initiatives to ensure they align with objectives, key results, and adjust as needed to maximize results.
  • Utilize and support the AM Global Marketing workflow system.

Including any other duties not specified that may be required to complete the role, and as requested by the Reporting Manager.

Qualifications and / or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (7 years) in communications, public relations, or marketing role, with a focus on regional or domestic marketing preferred.

Skills

  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business goals into effective communication strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for various audiences.
  • Experience managing marketing campaign, event, and media budgets.
  • Demonstrated experience in brand management and developing and maintaining brand guidelines.
  • Strong media relations skills, including experience with press releases, media events and trade shows, and crisis communication.
  • Proficiency in digital and marketing platforms, with a deep understanding of current trends and best practices.
  • Strong team management skills, with the ability to motivate and influence across a matrix structure.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Understanding of launch initiatives for innovation activities (NPD)
  • Good working understanding of Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in print campaign management
  • An understanding of digital marketing mediums and social media platforms
