The Galileo School for Gifted Learning is a public charter school in Seminole County. Our mission is to offer innovative, research-based education in a nurturing environment for gifted and talented students and those who want to learn in a gifted learning environment that will challenge them to pursue their passionate interests in service to others. The Galileo School is inviting application for the following position:
Certified Music Teacher: The Teacher will encourage a deep appreciation for the power of music as an expressive art. The teacher will also promote a positive learning environment, stay current on the latest research on teaching and learning, use data to drive instructional decision-making, and facilitate student development in the art of music. It is a full-time, 10 month appointment with benefits.
Qualifications: Minimum qualifications for consideration include a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and in Music Education, or certification in Music and a strong passion for teaching and commitment to innovation in education. Preference will be given to candidates who have a gifted education endorsement or certification, who have experience teaching twice exceptional students, K-12 ESE certification, or a reading endorsement.
Desired Start date: August 5, 2024 Application Deadline: Open until filled.
Salary: $50,500-$65,000 annually (prorated based on start date) for a 10 month, full-time position. Salary is negotiable, commensurate with experience and education.
