The IT Business Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting our IT software library. One of the main focus areas is supporting our ERP – Infor’s Visual Manufacturing software. The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for solving information technology related problems and working with internal clients to solve business problems using business knowledge, project management skills, data mining and report writing. Through conducting internal meetings and process mapping, recommend improvements to existing software or purchasing new software to meet the needs of the organization. 

Duties and responsibilities

• Knowledge of Visual Manufacturing ERP systems (Infor company) including general ledger, cost accounting, manufacturing control, MRP inventory control, purchasing and sales order processing functions.
• Resolve day to day questions and issues related to the Visual Manufacturing software.
• Configuration of applications within the Visual Manufacturing ERP software.
• Knowledge and experience with the integration of 3rd party systems with ERP systems.
• Data mining, report writing and analytical expertise required to support decision making.
• Coordinate with our dba for the maintenance of the SQL server database tables.
• Working knowledge of SQL databases. Able to create stored procedures and views to support information reporting.
• Evaluate and analyze data to solve user information needs.
• Project management experience with multi-functional teams.
• Ability to lead or participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Prepare workflow charts and diagrams to document business processes.
• Advanced MS Office skills with an emphasis on Excel.
• Willing to learn and support the many types of software applications being used within the company.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and experience

• College degree in Information Systems, Industrial Management or similar degree.
• 3- 5 years of ERP manufacturing experience, Visual Manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Strong background in both information technology and business process analysis.
• Database table and maintenance experience required.
• Knowledge of SQL databases preferred.
• Knowledge with report writing software including SSRS, crystal reports and PowerBI.
• Export knowledge using Excel.
• Excellent communication skills with both internal co-workers and external software vendors.
• Self-motivated and deadline driven.
• Willing and able to occasionally travel both domestically and internationally as required.
