Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Events to lead our event planning and execution team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory control, production planning, transportation management, and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, ensuring seamless operations from start to finish
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize event logistics, including procurement, transportation, and materials management
- Manage inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels for events
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to meet event requirements
- Supervise event staff, providing guidance and support throughout the planning process
- Monitor event budgets and expenses to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness
- Utilize AS400 or similar systems for efficient data management and reporting
- Implement best practices for warehouse management, including forklift operations and dispatching

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience in event planning and management, with a focus on large-scale events
- Strong knowledge of profit loss analysis and financial acumen
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficiency in AS400 or similar inventory management systems is preferred
