Currently Hiring an Assistant Manager for Gai Noi, a new fast paced, high volume, and high energy restaurant by Chef Ann Ahmed in the heart of the Loring Park neighborhood. Gai Noi will be fast casual, featuring an open kitchen spanning multiple levels, and open daily for lunch and dinner.
Responsible for growing sales and managing labor within the restaurant. The Operations Manager oversees staff & restaurant cleanliness, prioritizes high guest satisfaction and food & drink quality. Responsible for ensuring smooth service that meets the steps of service to ensure guest satisfaction.
Expectations:
Assistant Manager/ Duties and Responsibilities:
Owns the scheduling for front of house staff
Minimum 5 Shifts/week
Responsible for cleanliness of the Restaurant | With a focus on Guest Areas
Improving Service levels through building Guest Rapport and Attention to Detail
Executing & Delegating Daily & Weekly Side-Work Duties amongst staff
Coaching with Staff to maintain high levels of Service; supports staff recognition of skills and
strengths and coaching accordingly
Coordination & Placement of Staff Positions on a shift-by-shift basis, based on reservation and
volume (depending on opening manager / manager on duty)
Creating and Leading Ongoing Staff Education
Working with Operations Manager to schedule appropriate levels of staff to ensure a smooth
service
Ensuring every shift has correct staffing | Finding Coverage for Call-Outs
Coordination & Placement of Staff Positions on a shift-by-shift basis
Monitoring Labor & Shift Expectations to ensure Financial Performance within the Restaurant
Creatively & Efficiently Driving Sales
Following Opening & Closing Procedures
Emailing EON reports and ensuring all monies are accounted for | Cash handling
Executing & Delegating Daily & Weekly Side-Work Duties
Working with Operations Manager to Organize & Run Quarterly Deep Cleaning to be
determined by the operations manager
Diffusing Customer Complaints | Conflict Resolution
Delegating Basic Tasks to staff | Holding Staff Accountable
Assisting in Coordination of Events at Restaurant
Work Closely with Expo & Kitchen Staff to ensure timely & high-quality food delivery
Continually communicate with all members of the team
Maintaining up to date POS information
Employee Hiring & Onboarding; supports the new hire process, training material development,
and orientation support
Attend Weekly Leadership Meetings
Responsible for attending and implementing all operational initiatives and learning
opportunities
Regular Coaching Sessions with Operations Manager & Director of Operations
