What You'll Do
As a UX/Product Designer here at Gabb Wireless , you will partner with our product teams to deliver first-class user experiences. You are passionate about making an impact through your designs and helping Gabb make a difference in the world of safe tech for kids. In this role, you will:
- Under the direction of the Lead Product Designer, create highly usable and visually appealing designs
- Conduct user research to gain a deeper understanding of Gabb's users and the unique challenges they face
- Work closely with different departments to understand customer needs from various angles and use that research to drive design decisions
- Use various mapping techniques to understand and improve the product and user experience
- Take complex requirements and translate them into elegant design solutions
- Assemble wireframes using our existing and new interface patterns
- Work within a design system to keep consistency with products and help evolve various design systems to accommodate multiple platforms and product lines
- Rapidly explore multiple approaches and design iteratively to discover the best solution to a problem.
- Design innovative user interactions for products used by kids and parents.
- Create high-fidelity prototypes that clearly communicate product or feature functionality
- Work closely with the product development team to understand technical constraints and facilitate implementation.
What You'll Need
- 3 years of experience in UX/UI design of software products
- Portfolio demonstrating strong visual skills and problem solving ability
- Working knowledge of the design process, including discovery, design, and validation
- Basic understanding of UX research best practices and familiarity with common methods
- Collaborative nature, feeding off of a team dynamic to work through problems and solutions
- Familiarity working in a fast-paced agile environment, balancing multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Ability to give and receive critical feedback to improve designs
- Passion for continuous learning and growth
- Proficient in the use of Adobe XD and/or Figma
