Success in Education – We change the world, one student at a time. Title: Marketing Manager Location: Ken Garff Corp Office Reports to: Vice President Required Travel: Occasional, Local We are a statewide nonprofit foundation based in downtown Salt Lake City that offers its employees creativity, autonomy, and the opportunities to change lives. Mission: The mission of Success in Education is to provide a pathway to college or careers. We do this through literacy, technology and mentoring programs, and exposure to scholarships, internships, and careers Programs and Purposes: The purpose of Keys to Success is to motivate students to unlock their future by connecting them to scholarships, internships, and careers. The purpose of Road to Success is to improve literacy skills of K-5 grade students through incentivized daily reading. The purpose of Women Who Succeed is to provide opportunities for girls and young women to grow confidence and leadership skills. The purpose of Ken Garff Esports is to enhance and enrich scholastic experiences through and beyond gaming. Position Summary: The Marketing Manager is responsible for the marketing outreach for the Success in Education Foundation and it’s four statewide programs; Keys to Success, Road to Success, Women Who Succeed, and Ken Garff Esports. This position reports to the Foundation Vice President. This position works closely with the Program Directors to plan and execute marketing efforts for the foundation. Job Responsibilities: Manages marketing outreach for Success in Education four statewide programs for a variety of Utah audiences including sponsors, educators, parents, and students. Manage and oversee weekly Marketing Meeting with the Foundation Vice President and program Directors. Directs branding efforts for consistency throughout all marketing materials, including partnership & sponsorship relations. Guarantees all sponsors are rightfully displayed according to their sponsorship agreements. Ensures all press materials, social media, website content, email newsletter, and other related media follow brand guidelines and marketing best practices. Work closely with Spin Off (Ken Garff in-house marketing department) to coordinate video and design projects. Oversees contracted content projects with outside videographers, photographers, designers, etc. Coordinates all printing projects including brochures, newsletters, posters, workbooks, etc. Manages and reports the foundation's monthly newsletter Provide weekly reports to leadership as to progress and challenges Attend tabling events to promote the Success in Education programs Communicate with the Associate Director on any website glitches. Attends and assists with major fundraising events and program events. Communicate regularly and integrate initiatives as appropriate with other team members. Ensure equity and access are of high priority for student enrollment by targeting low-income schools, rural schools, and minority students Other duties as assigned. Regional Job Responsibilities – Salt Lake City Oversee the Salt Lake City school district that implement Road to Success, Keys to Success, Ken Garff Esports and Women Who Succeed. Some responsibilities may be to: Coordinate closely with school principals, counselors, and College Access Advisors to ensure Keys to Success is implemented throughout the region. Ensure Key Contacts are in place in each high school to garner support and enthusiasm for Keys to Success. Establish and foster relationships with districts’ Career Technology Educators to ensure Success in Education programming is a priority for each school district. Ensure principals and counselors are aware of the mentee opportunity for Women Who Succeed on the Keys to Success app. Act as a liaison for Ken Garff Esports Club Advisors to Ken Garff Esports Subject Matter Expert and Director of Technology Education Visit schools on a semi-regular basis to: Distribute prizes and act as a support to Ken Garff Esport Club Advisors and students. Deliver promotional materials such as banners, posters, flyers, and incentives to various schools in assigned geographic area. Schedule and host events as school to promote programs, such as classroom visits, tabling events, or presentations at parent nights. Ensure equity and access are of high priority for student enrollment by targeting low-income schools, rural schools, and minority students Track Key Performance Indicators for assigned geographic area. Provide weekly reports to leadership as to progress and challenges in area regarding measured goals. Communicate regularly and integrate initiatives as appropriate with other team members, including training on assigned Subject Matter Expect role. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree 2 – 3 years' experience with non-profit marketing or similar Graphic design, website, and social media experience are a plus Photography skill is a plus Confident in front of large crowds as well as one-on-one interactions Ability to collect, process, and present measured results Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Organized, self-starter, team player Has integrity and values transparency in the workplace Other Work Conditions: This position requires occasional travel; primarily local and during business hours although some occasional out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. This is a full-time, exempt position. Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
