Full Job Description Air Compressor Service Technician

Location: Joplin, MO (or surrounding area 4 state area)

Fast growing industrial service company is currently seeking a self-motivated Field Service Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs on air compressors and related equipment. We service all major OEM brand air compressors from 5 to 5,000 horsepower. Other equipment we service includes vacuum pumps, blowers, nitrogen systems, process chillers and cooling systems. We are the Master Distributor for several major manufactures in the Midwest market.

The ideal candidate would be a self-sufficient, hardworking, trustworthy, and motivated individual with the desire to provide the best solutions for our customers maintenance, installation, and repair needs. We are looking for individuals who want to partner with our sales and management teams to grow service business in SW Missouri, SE Kansas, NE Oklahoma, and NW Arkansas.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Perform maintenance and service on compressed air systems for our current customer base. Primarily rotary screw compressors, also centrifugal and reciprocating experience is a plus.
• Preform jobs including tear down, inspection and rebuilds of complete units.
• Mechanical assembly / disassembly abilities.
• Self-disciplined and able to work without direct supervision.
• Communication with Technical Department to identify solutions to problems on compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers, nitrogen systems, process chillers and cooling systems.
• Provide outstanding customer service and build rapport with customers.
• Be fully capable of completing work orders, inspections reports, and other business related reports accurately, and timely.

Successful Candidate will have:

• A great work ethic and strong customer service skills
• Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills are a plus
• Refrigeration troubleshooting and diagnostic skills are a plus
• A strong electrical/plumbing mechanical aptitude.
• Must have own hand tools, all specialty tools, meters, etc. will be provided.
• 5 years of solid field experience involving installations, preventive maintenance, and repair of equipment.
• Excellent communications and problem-solving skills.
• Computer skills, including email and Microsoft office programs
• Good driving record (Mandatory)
• Motivation to drive business with new customers

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
