G&Z TRANSPORT LLC is Hiring a Night Dispatcher Near Brighton, CO

Description

The Dispatcher will be responsible for the logistic operations of the daily trucking workload. This position will be expected to work directly with the drivers to provide direction of the dispatched loads/trucks, both company drivers and Independent Contractors. The dispatcher will also be responsible for managing the documentation of the work from dispatch through completion of load to input into our electronic ticketing system. The salary range for this position is hourly pay commensurate with experience plus overtime on a 4/3 schedule with 12 hour shifts

Requirements

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Set up new jobs in Field Cap (electronic ticketing system) and utilize various electronic platforms to maintain the understanding of the current jobs. (i.e. Textline, MS teams, Samsara, etc)
  • Service as primary contact for dispatch questions and issues.
  • Ensure that all drivers are in the electronic ticketing system daily, if the load is missing work with the driver/dispatch team that is responsible for entering this information.
  • Review and approve Field Cap tickets daily and track any missing tickets and ensure proper completion of the BOL prior to it moving to the accounting department.
  • Provide truck requests and availability to the drivers and operations team. Build schedules for future work.
  • Send out daily summaries of the work performed to the logistics team to communicate various issues with equipment, concerns with the fleet, and scheduling conflicts.
  • Identify shortcomings/obstacles of drivers and coordinate with the scheduler to coordinate additional training when needed.
  • Report any safety issues to the Safety team and Division manager.
  • Maintain equipment lists.
  • Recognize and document driver performance issues during the course of each shift and report those daily to the division manager.
  • Other job duties may be assigned depending on customer needs/changes in projects.
  • Participate in company-sponsored volunteer programs.

  • Self-starter, ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work a 4 on/3 off week with 12 hour shifts 5PM to 5AM
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Knowledge of, and ability to use, current and developing technologies including telephones, mobile devices, and computers.
  • Continue to develop knowledge and expertise by seeking assistance from peers, other team members, books industry seminars, and courses.
  • Conduct self and promote others in accordance with the company’s standards and expectations.
  • Tactful and mature demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities.
  • Ensure open and effective communication, actively promoting a team environment.

Qualifications: Good communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions verbally and/or in writing from management, employees, clients, contractors, and others. Effective listening skills.
