G Hospitality is Hiring an Assistant General Manager Restaurant Near Providence, RI

Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Assistant General Manager to add to our growing team! The AGM will help ensure all daily activities run smoothly and efficiently in the operation of the restaurant.
Our ideal candidate for the assistant manager role will have experience in cost and inventory control, and supervising restaurant staff to create a memorable guest experience.
To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with restaurant operations, have a good understanding of what makes a great guest experience and be highly adaptable to a myriad of situations. You should also be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Ultimately, we are looking for a team player who wants to learn and grow with our expanding hospitality group!
Responsibilities (not limited to the following)
  • Manage floor shifts, resolving guest and staff issues on an ongoing basis according to needs
  • Coordinating daily restaurant management operations
  • Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff
  • Prepare shift schedules
  • Supervise wait staff and provide assistance, as needed
  • Assist in the continued training and mentoring of staff
  • Monitor compliance with company procedures regarding Covid-19, safety and hygiene regulations
  • Gather guests’ feedback and recommend improvements to our menus and operations
  • Responding efficiently and accurately to restaurant guest complaints
  • Manage floor shifts from open to closing, while monitoring staff and holding them accountable to expectations
Requirements
  • Proven customer service experience with a guest forward service attitude
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to recall ingredients and dishes to inform guests and service staff
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software, like OpenTable and Toast.
  • Guest forward service attitude
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills with a focus on communication and team management abilities
  • Financial management skills
  • TIPS and Servsafe certification
