PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the efficient day-to-day coordination and management of the agency’s day services consistent with licensure requirements and agency policies & procedures.
• Serves as the lead supervisor for the day program, providing both direct and indirect supervision of assigned supervisory and direct care employees.
• Participates as a key member of the agency’s management team addressing fiscal, programmatic, compliance, and long-term planning issues.
• Ensure that facilities and equipment used within day services are maintained in a manner that is safe and follows agency and licensure standards.
• Actively participates in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of staff assigned to the day program.
• Coordinates the agency’s utilization of Therap, a web-based electronic consumer data application, including staying abreast of new applications available; communicating and making a recommendation to the Management Team regarding agency utilization of Therap applications; facilitation of the overall management of the application within the agency and facilitation of staff training concerning all aspect of Therap.
• Coordinates and facilitates the agency’s Behavior Support Committee, ensuring all aspects of the committee and the committee’s actions meet licensure standards.
• Successfully performs DSP assignments when necessary.
• Fulfills responsibilities of an assigned 1 week on-call rotation (every 6-8 weeks). Must be available to respond to emergencies during evenings, early mornings, weekends and holidays while on the on-call rotation. Must live within a reasonable driving distance to facilitate timely response to emergencies.

Base salary - $45,760

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Three years of working with individuals with developmental disabilities within a day and/or residential service setting is required AND
• One year of supervisory and/or management experience in a service setting providing support to persons with disabilities AND
• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
• Direct experience in an equivalent position may be considered instead of a college degree in some circumstances.
• Valid driver’s license.
