DSPs are difference-makers for our adult friends and neighbors with developmental disabilities to live active and meaningful lives. A DSP in our day programs supports people in the areas of employment, volunteerism, medical appointments, training and education, recreation, and common life skills. That support may range from hands-on assistance, to detailed instruction, or simply a high five for encouragement.

Qualifications

We’re looking for a great fit, not a warm body.

Personable – Technical skills can be taught on the job, but personality cannot. Do you greet strangers? Have friends told you you’re a good listener? We’re looking for folks who are approachable—the kind older folks at the grocery store stop and talk to.

Stick-to-it-iveness – Job-hoppers need not apply. Relationships must be built and good training takes time. Serious consideration is given to applicants who have demonstrated some longevity with their previous employer(s).

Requirements also include:

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma/GED 
• Driver's license and reliable trnasportation.
